Contact forms…. they’re built in!
I’m so used to the Spiffy Stores features, that I kind of take some of them as granted, and forget that some of our competitors seem to ignore basic customer needs.
Take for example the Contact Us form. Practically every online store needs one. Customers aren’t going to be very impressed if there’s no way to contact the store owners.
So with this in mind, Spiffy Stores includes a Contact Us form automatically. When you set up an online store with Spiffy Stores, we automatically create two pages called “Contact Us” and “Contact Us Thanks”.
If you’ve accidentally deleted your contact form, just create two pages called “Contact Us” (your contact from will automatically appear on the “Contact Us” page) and “Contact Us Thanks”. You then add the Contact Us page to a menu, and you’re done. You can add some customization and additional text and rename the pages, if you like (keeping the page handles the same).
Another great way to add other forms to your site is by using Wufoo. The folks over at Wufoo have built a fantastic form builder that integrates with a load of other systems. To get a Wufoo form to work in your Spiffy Store, you just create the form and copy and paste the code from Wufoo into a page. Wufoo allows you to create a form in just a few minutes!

In e-commerce marketing, a conversion rate is the percentage of unique visitors to your online store who actually buy something.
Generally, if your store is laid out well, and you have good product descriptions and images and your products are reasonably priced, you should achieve at least a 1% to 2% conversion rate.
That can be easily increased to 3% if you follow the tips below. If you go further than what we suggest, you can increase your conversion rate even further. Continue reading

International shipping with FedEx now available
We’re pleased to announce that Spiffy Stores now includes FedEx shipping calculations in your store checkout, in addition to the current support for Australia Post.
To accommodate this, we’ve created a new section in your Store Toolbox (in the Shipping & handling section of your preferences) for “Shipping agents”.
To enable international shipping by FedEx, you just need to go to the “Shipping and handling” section in your Store Toolbox, and click on the “Add shipping agent” button. You’ll need to have an account with FedEx to take advantage of this.
When you’ve got that sorted, customers visiting your online store from overseas will be able to select FedEx as a shipping method in the checkout, and view real-time shipping prices.
We’ve also changed the way the Australia Post shipping is handled. We’ve now updated your current Australia Post shipping methods to use the new Australia Post carrier. Please go to your Store Toolbox and review your shipping rates and ensure that they’re set up correctly.
New functionality you say? It includes adding extra handling days, extra handling costs, and default fall-back pricing just in case the FedEx or AusPost sites fail…. but you’ll have to come back tomorrow to find out more, or login to your Store Toolbox to have a look.
