ANZ Worldline Payment Gateway
The ANZ Worldline payment gateway can be activated in the Preferences -> Checkout & Payment section of your Spiffy Store Toolbox. Once enabled, customers can pay by credit or debit card directly within your store checkout.
This integration uses credentials managed through the ANZ Worldline Merchant Portal. The credentials required are your Merchant ID (PSPID), plus an API Key and API Secret. See Merchant Portal - ANZ Worldline for more details.
Before you start
You will need:
- An active ANZ Worldline facility that supports online payments.
- Access to the ANZ Worldline Merchant Portal
- Your LIVE credentials from the Merchant Portal:
- Merchant ID (PSPID)
- API Key
- API Secret
Obtain your LIVE ANZ Worldline credentials
Your integration credentials are created and managed in the Merchant Portal.
- Login to the ANZ Worldline Merchant Portal
- Navigate to the Developer section in the portal.
- Locate your Merchant ID (PSPID) and generate (or view) an API Key.
- Generate an API Secret for the API Key.
Warning: API Secret visibility When you generate a new API Secret, it is only visible for a short time. The portal will automatically hide it, and you may not be able to view it again later. Copy the API Secret immediately and store it securely.
Activating ANZ Worldline in your Spiffy Store
To enable ANZ Worldline for your store:
- Go to Toolbox -> Preferences -> Checkout & Payment.
- In the Credit Card Gateways section, select ANZ Worldline.
- Enter the following values into the gateway form:
- Merchant ID (PSPID)
- API Key
- API Secret
- Ensure the gateway is not set to TEST mode.
- Select the credit card brands you want to accept.
- Click Activate.
You can optionally click Show details to add additional instructions shown to customers who choose to pay by credit card (for example, delivery timeframes or support contact details).
Troubleshooting
Common issues
- Payments fail immediately / authentication error
- Confirm your Merchant ID (PSPID), API Key, and API Secret were copied correctly from the Merchant Portal, and that you are using LIVE credentials in the LIVE mode.
- I selected “Test” and payments fail
- The TEST mode requires a separate set of TEST credentials.
Warning: TEST mode requires TEST credentials The Test option cannot be used with LIVE credentials. If you select Test, you must enter your TEST Merchant ID (PSPID), API Key, and API Secret issued for the TEST environment.
Where to check payments
Use the Merchant Portal to review transactions, settlements, and reporting.
Security notes
- Treat your API Key and API Secret as sensitive credentials. Only share them with authorised technical staff who are configuring your integration.
- If you believe credentials have been exposed, generate a new API key/secret in the Merchant Portal and update your Spiffy Store configuration.
Optional: TEST mode
Spiffy Stores also supports configuring ANZ Worldline in TEST mode for merchants who have been issued a separate set of TEST credentials. TEST credentials are different to LIVE credentials, and cannot be used interchangeably.
