How does Shipping work?

When a customer purchases items from your store, you're generally going to need to ship these items to the customer, so you will need some way of calculating the cost of shipping so that you can add that cost to the order.

Of course, not all items need shipping and you can configure which product variations need to be shipped by clicking on the variation on the product page and bringing up the edit dialog. Just click on the 'Shipping' bar to show all the shipping options, and then select 'No shipping required' from the selection box. When you're finished, click on 'Save Variation'.

Shipping is based on the weight of your products, so when you're adding new products you need to add weights in right from the start.

Spiffy Stores ties in with Australia Post very nicely, so standard Parcel Post & Express Post postage rates are calculated for your customer automatically in the checkout when you add these options in on the "Shipping & Handling" page in your Toolbox.

You can also add in your own shipping costs of you would like to offer different types of courier services, or would like to charge flat rate shipping. Again these are all based on the total weight of the products that your customers are ordering.

NOTE Currently Spiffy Stores are only available to Australian businesses & individuals. When we launch the worldwide service, our shipping calculators will work with other shipping providers such as USPS in the USA.
